The cable that runs from the button through the steering column and steering box was broken so I took it out and had the local electrician do a professional repair. Five months later it broke again across the repair joint and seemed to be the result of twisting.
Of course, the horn button is fixed so the cable has to twist with steering wheel rotation which, in my case, has been causing a cable break. Has anyone had the same problem and is there a fix?

Become you install a new wire, you ought to run a bore-brush thorough the whole length of the column. Just a thought...
