Turn signal question

Unread post by UDTDave » October 27th, 2017, 1:59 pm

The turn signals light up on all four corners as appropriate but stop flashing when I put a bulb in the switch on the steering column. Any suggestions besides leave the bulb out :)

Make sure the clamp on the column is grounded to the column, That is where the signal light on the unit gets its ground. I don't see how that would affect the regular lights but that is the only connection I can think of.

So here is the crazy part. The bulb on the switch lights but will only blink when turned on 4 way flashers.. Once the bulb is out the turn signal lights will flash on left and right but only with the bulb out or with the bulb in but only on 4 way flashers. Hope that was clear..

I'm not a big fan of throwing parts at problems, BUT, in this case I'd try another control arm assembly.
