z tube rod?
Ok, on the A2, when I pushed in the clutch, the end of the z tube rod broke off(I guess that's the right name)so I wonder how common this is?This may be the 2nd time for this jeep.I'll go back in time to reread my other posts on this to see if my words are right

Re: z tube rod?
Are you talking about the arm that holds the clutch rod where it is welded to the round tube? If so then yes, that is fairly common. If properly prepped it can be welded back and never have to worry about it again.

Re: z tube rod?
Aha, Now that you posted the other thread about that rod I realize you are talking about the rod and not the Z-bar bracket, that is what usually breaks. If that rod were impossible to find you could weld it up where it broke. It would end up being welded solid and not in the form of a "U", you would then have to carefully grind the U shape into it with a Dremel and files. Best to just find a new or used one.
