Unread post by miljeep » June 18th, 2018, 12:37 pm

I just picked up a couple of 51R Batteries because I saw that people where using them as replacement for Military 2HN they are no way near the size of the holder so what are the suggestions to shimthem up to the holders size.... Scott O&O

I cut mine where they overlap in the middle on both sides and shorten them up to fit the battery length wise and weld them back up. I do not narrow them and they work fine. I cut down 6" long 1/4" bolts and cold bend a hook on one end for hold down bolts.

A friend made me a set the size of 51 R but maintained the mounting hole positions for a 2HN.
Kind of neat but also very secure.
By the way am ysing the AGM version so there is no free acid to spill.
