To all Holley owners To the rescue
Walker Carburetor Components Needle for the R-1345-1A Same as Holley 1 bbl downdraft as used on Ford 6 cyl. Walker # 18-214 $3.00 each. Goggle walker 18-214 I contacted Carburetor USA and that guy knows his stuff, very helpful. Name is Joe and said the red diaphragm will last a long time if used . They go to crap when they set and the ethanol base fuel then will then work on it. Said , on the seat do not stick anything in the hole ,clean with oven cleaner. When you put the new needle in ,suck on the fuel inlet with your mouth and if you have a good vacuum the needle is seating good. Do not tap it to seat it ,it is rubber doesn't need it
Re: To all Holley owners To the rescue
Ok, But what about floats and accelerator pumps? You mention a diaphragm but I don't know of any diaphragms in the Holley.

Re: To all Holley owners To the rescue
Thanks 12B. I'm sure someone may find that useful one day. Holley is a definite want but not a need at this time. Too much still left to do.
One piece at a time rickf. They werent built in a day. (Hmmmm, or were they? Hey Guru, any info on top daily production rates?)

Re: To all Holley owners To the rescue
TM 9-2320-218-34 Figure 5-20 Section 5-13 diaphragm which is located in the accelerator pump assembly . Of all the Zentih's I have rebuilt and the three Holley's I never had a bad float, and there is one on eBay now. Parts are out there just have to look.
Re: To all Holley owners To the rescue
Well the Zenith uses a composite float except for the very early ones and even then the floats are interchangeable. I have two bad Holley floats if you want to see one. I have a box of probably 15 Holley cores and the main thing that is missing id the top of the carb. The inlet gets broken on these all the time. Out of the 20 plus Holley's I have I only have maybe four or five that can be called complete and I would say only three of them are good carbs.
