I have just finished replacing the front suspension on my a2 and did not have to remove the prop shafts and hubs which saved a lot of time. I am getting ready to replace the rear suspension bushing an I'm thinking about trying to just unbolt and drop the front of the arms enough to press out the old bushings and press in the new ones. Has anyone done this without completely removing the suspension arms?
Thanks,
CT

Re: a2 rear suspension question
I would think removing the suspension would be the right way to do it.
Much easier-punching out-the old and pressing in the new ones.
I did mine that way .
Disconnect the brake lines shocks springs and axle shafts and leave them hanging in place.
Have fun!

Re: a2 rear suspension question
Cav, if you attempt this, we want a blow-by-blow account WITH photos. Not saying it can't be done but there's a fair amount of energy stored in those springs. (Never say. "Never" but, occasionally say, "STOP! Don't do that!")

Re: a2 rear suspension question
Had been avoiding a clunking sound on the right rear of my A2.
Today had someone jump on the back.
Lo and Behold !! The outer bushing has ovaled out after only 2500 miles.
Looks like I am going practice what. I preach !
Let the fun begin.
