Guidance on emissions fuel tank please

Unread post by m3a1 » August 2nd, 2018, 10:16 pm

I'm not finding what I'm looking for here and I'm just fed up with scrolling through page after page of TMs. I just need a place to look for something that lays out what the standard fittings are for an emissions fuel tank. I'm starting with a NOS, bare-bones tank. From there, I can determine what I need (and what I don't need) to hook it up to a non emissions MUTT.

Cheers,
TJ

You need a pickup tube, vent elbow fitting,
Screen vent and fuel sender.
The other three holes could be blocked.
Hope this helps.

Ok, I ordered these and I have a sending unit in the Great Big Box of Everything. I was planning on making blank plates for the blocking of the other openings so I suppose I'm good to go at this point, eh?

Fil, are we talking about a jam nut? I didn't anticipate that. I figured once the line was hooked up, that would be all that was necessary or perhaps a little thread-locker.

If thread locker work you’re home free.
If not let me know.
The jam nut has a nylon washer inserted in to the mating surface to seal things.r
