Are there different drag links for the M151 series?

Unread post by M37 » January 7th, 2019, 2:59 am

A few of the internet sales ads for drag links say, "For the early M151's". I have a 1962 M151 I am looking to rebuild the steering on. Can anyone tell me if there is any difference between the drag link on the M151 and the M151a2.

I have found a wide range in price for these online and I don't want to over pay for an "early one", if there isn't any difference in the part for early or late.

Thank you in advance,

Joe

The only difference that I know of is that the early ones had grease fittings and the later ones were sealed. Other than that the front end components are all the same through the years with the exception of the very early steering knuckles which had a different shape. This was only the first 2-3 years.
