can't get it apart

Guys,

I know I am one of the few running ROPS. Anyway, anybody has a good idea how to get this thing apart:

It is "just" this metal cover which I need to remove

THERE IS A C CLIP YOU NEED TO REMOVE. USE A SMALL FLAT HEAD SCREWDRIVER STICK IT IN THE CENTER OF THE C CLIP AND USE THE BUTTON AS YOUR LEVERAGE POINT.

My first reaction to your answer was "if it would be so easy I would not have asked". Because that is what I had tried. Well, I just tried it again, ruined a screwdriver in the process, but it worked.
