Tail Light lens retainer screws

Unread post by Manhorne » October 14th, 2020, 4:53 pm

Does anyone happen to know what exact size screws are used to mount the lens retained to the tail light body assembly or what the NSN is for the type of screws used?

I cannot find any information on them and need a few replacement ones.

the screws needed are as follows: slotted pan head, overall length is 1 and 1/8th inches. thread pitch is 10-24. threaded portion extends exactly 3/8 of an inch. at the finite end of the thread pitch, a retainer is crimped, in order to keep the screws from falling out when the lens is removed. six screws are required. i don't have the NSN, so i went and measured mine. hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply....That will help al lot.I am sure i can find something with that info that will work....

I have looked through all the parts lists and they do not show those screws separate from the cover. So I cannot find the actual NSN number for them. I am sure there has to be one but have not seen it.

OK, I did find 4 but I can't find the little wire that keeps them in the lens, they should have been in the same can but :( . send me a PM with your address and I'll send them out.
