I am trying to narrow down at what point did Ford eliminate the drivers side fresh air vent on the MUTT. My MUTT has a delivery date of May 1961 and a serial number of 2C 1346. I have the driver's side vent. A friend of mine has a MUTT with a delivery date of June 1962, serial number 2D 3984. He does not. Please let me know if you have a MUTT in-between by delivery date, hood number and whether you have that fresh air vent. Thanks, Kevin.

Awhile back I started separating old pics by hood number as I ran across them on the net. I can submit the following, but value is questionable.

2C 2067 Single vent (Looks like a recent restore)
2C 9778 Single vent (In Harm's Way Movie)
2C 9978 Single vent (Half Side Doors)

From my understanding, the actual hood numbers were not given out sequentially all the time and we all know the plates could have been swapped at some point. Mines a 2D with both vents that one of these situations applies to. A more accurate method is comparing serial numbers (impossible now I surmise) or hope that the Guru has that bit of info squirreled away somewhere. GL

Thanks to both of you for the information. Surveyor, Happy Thanksgiving. Ken, Thanks for sending the Mayflower our way. We got a holiday, a big meal and fantastic sales the next day! Kevin.
