does the SERVICE signal & stop lights have the same function....
and i would like to ask for the correct BLACKOUT stop & marker lights of the A2's rear composite light?
i've done some research/reading and quite confused on what i've found:
TM -20 '71 page 2-147 fig. 2-211 = B.O. stoplight is BELOW B.O. markerlight.
page 2-62 fig. 2-31 test 5 = wire #23 B.O. stoplight is ABOVE B.O. markerlight.
TM -20-1-1 '82 page 5-91 = B.O. stoplight is ABOVE B.O. markerlight.
TM -20-1-2 '82 Change 2 G.3 Elec. sys. wiring diagram = B.O. stoplight is BELOW B.O. markerlight.
TM -20P '78 fig. 47 (states Stop & Marker lights) & TM -34P '88 fig. 57 doesn't help much, seems both bulbs have the same description number.

not sure if I am getting your question correct, but:
service and stop light are sharing the same section in the composite light with a bulb with two filaments
the blackout marker light (red) sits above the blackout stop light (white)

it's nice meeting you here at g838. i was with the "muttmotorpool" group and there is where i come in contact with jon from lucena (i'm from laguna) and he had mentioned you and your father from angeles city. anyway, we've just aquired another m151a2 which have an incorrect lighting connections and a not so good front passenger side fender restoration. We're still going to fix that when i found a nice desert camo pattern to replace the existing one
b.t.w. the other one has a converted engine, 2WD, desert yellow which i drive a lot! pics, we're still working on it....
