Hey M-11,
My engine color experience is that my A2 has a black engine with no rebuild tag, my 64 Kaiser M151
has a green engine, looks original to the motor. I have 8 spare engines, 7 for parts from early M151's
and A1's and they are all green, every one of em. Just bought a crated engine with no rebuild tag,
but paper tags from a repair shop, and it's been painted uncleaned with black spray paint. Maybe I'm
not the wizard of engine knowledge, but that's what I have.

Hey Rainman,

My power pack was black with green overspray. I disassembled far enough to reseal but didn't see a need to rebuild it. Anyway I repainted it with black engine paint. I'll post a picture later today.

As promised here are a few pictures of my engine. Still a work in progress but too cold today to stay out in the shop to work. I have to correct my last post as to the color of my engine before I started. The push rod and valve cover were green everything else was black.

That engine is too pretty for your use...You must give it to me..... :D
There is one nut on a M151 that is very difficult to remove.....

I went the OD route with mine. I just liked the look a bit better and the enging was kinda OD to start with under the grease and grime. Pics are here along with other pics of my M718...
