Purpose ?

Hi all,

I wanted to know where this (marked with a yellow arrow)goes to and what happens if it is either blocked or left completely open :?:

Sam,

That line goes back to the petrol tank as part of the emission control system.The pipe size is the same as the line that goes to the fuel pump and the return line. It is connected in the brass block located in the middle of the tank where the small lines are all connected. I'm no expert but my motor is running as normal even though the emission lines are not restored yet.If it's left open, it will just probably let some small amounts of gas vapours out.
