I have a web page with some pretty good pictures of my engine removal and rear seal replacement. Shots show a lot of detail of the engine in various stages of work. Also the replacement of a front wiring harness. Not a fun job, but not as tough as what I hear a rear harness is!
I thought these pictures might be of some use to the forum

I am by no means a wicked great mechanic. First time I pulled the engine it scared the heck out of me. I stuck to the manuals and followed the procedures, straying only when I did not have the special tools sometimes described. I am lucky that I have a good friend who is a wicked great Mutt mechanic and I have his shoulder to lean on from time to time.
I am still having clutch trouble and I have a new differential to put in. I am thinking about a BBQ, inviting some friends over to help, feed them some good food and have a good day turning wrenches on the old mutt. But not until the weather gets warmer. I have the use of a cooker that a bunch of us in the club built that is made from an old cluster bomb, on a custom trailer salvaged from an old scouting trailer that had made use of an M-100 trailer axle. Looks great towing to and from places and cooks good to boot!
