Online manuals?

Unread post by homerguy » February 27th, 2008, 8:52 pm

I need some help with my distributor. The mutt I just bought, that "Runs great" came home in-op! It looks like the distributor is mounted ~90 degrees off and the order of the spark plug wires is 180 out. I cant seem to remember the firing order ( as seen from top of distributor)...WHen I push the starter there is no real spark. Previous owner claimed he started it every week and it ran great,"until it was pulled onto the delivery truck when it mysteriously died." Whats involved with changing to electronic ignition from old style w/points,etc? Also what do folks use for a vacuum pump if you go w/ mechanical fuel pump?

Hey Ralph

Do you have scottie's site also. I lost most of my bookmarks when my daughter was playing with the computer the other day.

Thanks Ralph! I stumbled onto that site from another thread then found the -20 that I downloaded yrs ago in an obsolete folder...
I hope you and A1 are doing well. Maybe one day this spring we can "go fishin" (with the m60).

Raymond: I don't have that address. I lost two (2) count 'em computers in the last 90 days (Trojan Horse). I've always used Norton Anti-Virus and kept it up to date.
To make a loooong story short. I took the different computers to two different repairmen. Both advised me against Norton and both suggested I use the free AVG. Here is the site:
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/downloads-p ... /0?prd=aff
There is no charge, and there is no renewal for the life of your computer. Saved me $49.99 with the Norton Anti-Virus renewal.
So far.....so good.
