MERDC 4 Color Camo

Well since I'm going to do the older 4 color MERDC camo I decided to do a little playing with photochop. Here is the M151 pattern done for US and Europe Winter.

Spraying that scheme at the moment on an A1, I really like it better than the later 3 color NATO

Hi folks,

the 4-color MERDC patterns form the best systems ever used........what a shame they were phased out by the introduction of the 3-color NATO system.

One day I'll get around to posting the samples of the whole set....meanwhile, here's my favourite pattern. It's the Snow-Trees version..........little used but really stunning!

Where did you find the name "SNOW TREES", I really like the scheme myself.

Do you have any pictures in service, checked my files and I have nothing showing this scheme on a vehicle.

Hello Mark,

it's from TB43-0209 (1976). Here's the list of other combinations from the TB. I must admit that I've only seen a few of these patterns in use..... I think that's probably why the MERDC system was abandoned in favour of the 3-color system.
