I have been helping diagnose a problem for another member over the phone and thinking to myself how lucky I am to have just thrown an engine in and had it run like a top. I got to thinking that it di have a couple of quirks that were probably just a set of dirty plugs so I changed the plugs and decided to have a look in the distributor while I was under the hood. The rotor was about to fall off! It was just wobbling around on the shaft. This is an eletronic distributor and the windows in the rotor were rubbing the pick up on the module! This thing should never have even started let alone run and yet I drove it to work today, 25 miles each way, ran like a top. Just goes to show, always do your checks! It was just a matter of time before the rotor broke or the module broke.
