Radical new tire design by Michelin. The next generation of tires. They had a pair at the Philadelphi car show.

those look so weird, I don't like 'em.

I'm sure they work just fine, they just don't look right. Makes me not have faith in them working proper.

Ralph

A set of those, along with some "spinners" would look good on your M151  8)

Lets see...you don't have to worry about tire inflation....but I'm wondering how it handles curves. With no side walls I wonder how well they will handle curves, sharp turns etc. Great buy a new car and see "Caution Sudden Turns Cause Rollover" stenciled in 3/4 inch letters on the dash....lol.

The thing about these is reducing weight and the amount of rubber needed. Heck why don't we go back to wood wheels and solid tires....:)
There is one nut on a M151 that is very difficult to remove.....

I am sure they are great once you stuff some mud and stones into all those cavities!

Stencil the dash like they used to do with our jeeps, a skull and crossbones, and the legend "Sudden Turns = Sudden Death"

Thanks for posting this. Looks cool and should go a long way to improving the upcoming generation of fuel-wise automobiles. I'd drive on "see-through" tires if it means we can reduce our dependence on the Middle-East.
