I know what you mean about the early M series tail lights. For safety, a lot of us with the older M series rear lights run M561 Gamma Goat lenses. They fit the early M series lights and remove easily for parades and such when you might want to run the original lenses.

How do you get the plywood circle...to STAY put in your spare tire?

I used a couple of pieces of all thread and drilled 2 holes in the spare tire retainer. Look just under the plate and there are 2 wing nuts to remove the disc.

The real question should be how did you cut that plywood so perfectly round. One sip of rum and all bets would be off

I see one issue that we have in our state. The tag number and the name of the state of the tag can not be obsecured and when you install the Fuel Can hold down straps will cover most of it up and also it needs to fully illuminated. But still a nice concept.cstaup wrote:Here it is. I apologize about the finish, but hey, it was simply gonna be an experiment. Waddya think?

I also stenciled, in white, the plate number as well as the state on the red portion (just in case)

Pretty cool ideas guys My solution wasn't so creative. An old gate hinge, a spring, and a $2.00 trailer light off the rack from the nearest auto parts house. Keep it simple be my motto

Re: License Plate Holder (pics r back)
good idea but in Florida for example, the license plate must be fixed to the vehicle.
