Yes you take start with second gear, in fact its better because the diesel has better low end torque.

Sounds like maybe you should go with air force blue or something, you don't want them snatching your mutt after all your hard work...

I think snatching it would be the least of my worries over there right now! I am thinking if it looks American and you are driving it then you are a target! If it looks like American military then you are a RPG target.

 Rick, RPGs won't fly in on us, I'm worried about the impounds and snatchings by the wrongs elements to use the wrong way. The issue's come up with Toyota FJs being auctioned off and they continue to be used in the military. I'm thinking of going Nato-Non Nato Ally on this for mine. US made, SAS Desert Patrol color and a Pakistani owner ;)

A guy i know is a Major serving in the 89th Ordnance, transferred from the 6th Baloch Infantry regiment tells me that the banning of impersonating a vehicle in standard military attire has led to quite a few infiltrations in major garrisons in the country. A very highlighted example of this kind is the attempt on the Military GHQ in Rawalpindi. He tells me there are orders issued to shoot on sight, if one is in doubt of the vehicle or if its suspicious enough to look like a suicide attack.
For example. A Young male driving a full military attire M825 into a garrison or in front of a gate of a barracks or office.

Its quite astonishing what today's conditions have become if you compare them to times 15 years back. I distinctly remember that in our city, the Army displayed its ordnance, from pistols to Heavy armor in the local city park for the people to see. I even remember sitting in a Type 59 tank and looking through its gunner sight. Even got to touch a Russian Mi-17 and see a AH-1S in flight. Good old days. Though i was only 10 years old at that time.

These days you can't even go near a soldier fearing he might shoot you before you know it.

No no from me. A Mutt in that color would be like a Macho man in leotards.

I recently paid a guy to fix the oil leaks on the power pack, and twice  $150! and that f ing idiot "forgets" to mount the clutch bearing on to the fork..
and this is what happened. I found no bearing balls, i wonder what happened to them

Image

The clutch pilot bearing bearing split into pieces, and constantly kept hitting the pressure plate. I borrowed a hoist from a friend for the night and remove the power pack. Sorry for the crappy pictures.
