I realize this is the modification section but I think maybe you are pushing things a bit. Maybe it is just me and if no one else speaks up then so be it. I think the gist of this section was for modifications to the M151 that were made in service or that improve the basic vehicle. Basic being the key word here. Not building all sorts of stuff using a 151 part here or there. There are a lot of other forums on the net pertaining to that type of thing.

HK, I went back over my post and I do not see how I insulted you in any way whatsoever. Maybe some of the young guys on here want to here about your Frankenstein concoctions but I would guess for the most part the rest do not. This is a forum for 151's, not contraptions made from them. We have never seen the end result LC that went 140 MPH, as clocked by a state trooper and certified by same. I have always laid low when it comes to your designs and I think it is better that I remain so. I could point out MANY structural flaws in your designs but it is not my intention to degrade OR insult anybody. I have bought a wiring harness from you that was supposed to be an excellent A1 harness, it turned out to be a cut up A2 harness and was junk! Money out the window. I agreed to meet you for lunch when you were out this way and you left me sitting in a parking lot for hours without the courtesy of a phone call telling me you were not going to stop. I have plenty of reason for insult but I will not do so.
You do not want to play the innocent with me.
You do not want to accuse me of insults.
You do not want to screw with me!

HI Guys...........You know if we could when I was in....we would have modified our Mutts this way. We did some changes, but not for the brass to see or understand. If its a dead mutt....so what ! You can even put my Seabee logo on it !!! ( oops, did I misspoke ??? ) Many of the public don't know what jeep is in what era....this conversion certainly will bring up new conversations. Kill me....but do it quickly ! You won't have a second chance ! Seabee

Seabee,

you probably have the luxury not having to read all the crap HK posted in the past on the other G. Nothing wrong with out of the box ideas, but they were a mixture of things achieved and pure dreams and you would never know where the truth was. Totally unnecessary because he actually did build quite a few good things.

Personally I like HK, and see no need to kick or belittle him or his projects. I enjoy his posts, and he helped to keep the other forum busy with his pictures and stories. We got to see his kids grow up amongst his rambling and happy go lucky wit. The last pictures I saw, Nate is a papa now. I was sorry to see Bleddyn leave the other forum and glad to see his return here. I'm not always the easiest guy to get along with on this forum, but WTF is up with this thread? The cheap shots you contributors are offering up just don't give me that warm fuzzy feeling. Why don't you kick his dog while your at it. Getting stood up by an un-shaven man in a pick up truck does not merit a life long grudge. As I have been reminded on many occasions GET OVER IT ALREADY ! If you had a sour deal problem that may effect others on the board, spell it out for all to see. If you have a personal axe to grind for a personal slight, send it in a PM or make a phone call.

Rainman, I pm'd some of his other friends with my reasons. I did not send you a pm because I knew your current situation and you did not need it. I have been told by Moose "enough!" so I will not elaborate but you have painted me into a corner so I need to defend myself. HK deleted all of his posts so you are not seeing what he said to me to provoke my response. I posed the initial comment above because what he was putting up here had NOTHING to do with M 151's, just creations from them and the Pimp my 151 was enough for me. I did not flame him, I was polite. His response was not. If no one else had said anything it would have gone away but he had to jump on me. You know me well enough to know I will jump back. I don't start fights but I will finish them. I did not mention the wiring harness in the past because it is not my style to flame someone publicly. If they want to rub it in my face as was done here then I will bring out the flamethrower! HK needs to grow thicker skin that is all. He is not the only one I have busted on about creations. How many remember Muttvet? I was always on him about his mods, but I also helped him whenever he would ask, which was often. I have helped out with 151 swamp buggies, rock crawlers and mud machines. I have made many suggestions to people on their ideas on how to modify something. Keep it sensible though. tell the truth. Do not act like a mechanical engineer when you are not because some kid will try to duplicate what you did and he might die! I know, never believe what you see on the internet. Tell that to a 17 year old kid that wants to impress. Remember Ray, I have tried to be the peacekeeper in a couple of battles between you and others. No names needed. You want me to go away? Tell me to do so, maybe I will and maybe I will not. I just got home from Aberdeen which I thrashed very hard to make it to and I am tired and burnt. This is the post I come home to. Just as an aside I got quite a few pm's regarding this deal. All were positive. It was not my intent to have him leave, it was just to try to get him to cool it with the goofy stuff. He left on his own in his usual style. If anyone else has an issue with me about this then air it out!

Message to all, if you have differences with each other, and feel the need to ventilate, please confine it to email, PM's, or the chat rooms. Do not post them in the forums. The board is for the enjoyment of our hobby, military vehicles, M151's in particular. When things get aired on the forums, it tends to drive people away to other boards. I will not have things degenerate to the point we have flame wars running across our threads. I'm not singling anyone out or mad at anyone, just stating my position.

Jim, I agree 100%, Here is my original post that started this whole mess. I was basically trying to do just what you said. M151 related meaning the vehicle 151. Not the creation using a couple of 151 parts. I was polite but the response was not. When confronted I will not back down and I will defend myself. I realize you are a personal friend of HK and I sent you a pm explaining why I replied as I did. I did not intend to start a flame war and I am sorry it turned out that way. I apologize to anyone who was offended. I only ask that you read the quote above and realize where I was heading with it.
