CAT inspired MUTT

Unread post by sarmadq » June 11th, 2010, 4:08 am

Hi all,

I was wondering after coming across this, whether there has been a CAT inspired MUTT ? I like the combo, have always loved watching CATs and so a wild wild thought is running in my mind.

Its just that the right combo needs to be done on using the yellow and black ................
It could be wild and wacky :D :!:

My current combo is matte black and OD green.

Sam, I like the black! It's got a predator kind of look :) Shoot us a photo of the whole mutt. And I agree, a CAT mutt done correctly would be great looking. Mutts have the same simple, rugged, and hard lines of a CAT. I'm for keeping the mechanics stock but as far a painting I have seen some of the non military schemes look pretty cool.

Here's a full shot .....

I agree that the civvy paint jobs do come out nice and all, but on a MUTT nothing seems to be right other than TAN/CAMO/OD.... Its the CJs and all that pull off other colors well, I guess that would be because the MUTT's never been associated as a 'civvy'

Coming to the CAT MUTT, what would be 'DONE CORRECTLY' :?: , that's what i'm eager to know and maybe try out.

Murder it out proper. Black rims and window tint, with dark gray markings. Looks cool!

I saw a documentary a couple nights ago about the BAT-21 raid and in the documentary they showed two M151A1's that were painted black.

Were all FAV (Fast Attack Vehicles) painted black during Granada in the 70s?

The right color yellow, the right amount of black, just the right amount of CAT :!:

Cat-like....Are we talking subtle TIGER stripes here? (which would be AWESOME!) or are talking Holt-Caterpillar "CAT?"

Gwan...take a walk on the wild side. Since I have an aftermarket bodied Mutt and therefore own my soul to no one, I've mused on some very fun makeover ideas (none of which will probably come to pass) but just to get your creative juices flowing there's always the Jurassic Park motif, or my personal favorite - The Zombie Outbreak Response Vehicle motif.

Do YOU have a zombie plan?
