spare relocation

Unread post by M2HALFTRACKBOY » September 5th, 2010, 9:39 am

Guys,

I'm planning on moving my spare over to the right passenger side and I have the correct mount for that. What I don't have is the splash/brush guard for the spare. Is there a source for these or am I going to have to fab something up?

Any input would be much appreciated.

Regards,
TJ

They sometimes show up on Ebay. There might be a problem in getting it to fit properly since
your unibody is not standard. Check with our fellow mutters from Pakistan. Most of their mutts are
ex 106RR version. They might be able to send one to you to Afghanistan.

I could help but i doubt the US Army would be light on the idea of a person in service with US Army in Afghanistan receiving a package containing military equipment from a Pakistani in these current times.

Well, I'm working in the A-stan...and living in Texas so that's no problem. Still, I may just fab one up. It's really nothing more than an issue of having the time available to do it. When I go on leave the kids and the wife are in school so we'll see how much I can get done.

Thanks for the input, fellas.

Cheers,
TJ

Little piece of advice here, pay attention to wife and kids when on leave, If not then they may not be there next time. I say this from the experiences of many I know. They came home on leave and went to the bars with friends, racing their cars, riding their bikes, etc.. Everything but spend time with family. Next time they came home family was gone and they could not understand why. Spend the time off with your family, the Mutt can wait. Just my two cents worth.

Of course!! But, when everyone is in school and I have the place to myself I'm gonna do some wrenching. I think I'm about done over here anyway. Two years is enough PSC-ing. Besides, Karzai wants us all out of here by the end of the year and my bullshirt meter is just about pegged.
