In the second and third videos, the drivers side rear wheel comes off the ground as he drivers over the humps. 8) I have had a rear wheel off the ground, and I think I had to stop and change my underwear.

I feel like I need to defend myself. I am the driver of the real jeep in the video, I was stupid and went into a deeper part of the puddle than he went through, and too fast and got some water in the distributor. The Driver of the M151 is my cousin Ty, and the camera crew's name is Randy. I am impressed with the performance of Ty's MUTT, and while I am still planning on using my jeepster for rock crawling, I do have 2 MUTT's in my backyard. One is a 1971 A2 that I am almost finished with, and the other is a 1967 A1 that is my next project. Here are some pictures of the A2 I have been working on, one of my Jeep not embarrassing itself, and of course one of the dog, Eugene Image Image Image Image

Tell me you were NOT working under that jeep! The foot of the jack is just barley hanging on and the head start it would get on those straps would just slide the other jeep. SQUISH! I have pulled four people out from under cars over the years, two living and two dead. the living were in bad shape, one is paralyzed.

nope that was when I was nervously in the process of putting it on its side to install a rust repair kit. Not quite that stupid. While I was working on it on its side, I had it braced up, and tied off to my green "real jeep" just in case. Image

Whew, glad to hear that although it looks like it is ready to go over at that point. I would be afraid of it going over on the top and destroying the steering wheel and cowl. Sort of makes you wonder why they say these roll so easy doesn't it? That is a pretty steep angle and still not over.

When I restored mine, we put it up on the side like that. We did it by hand. Took 6 of us to push it over and 2 on the other side to catch it. Probably could have done it with half that many, but better safe than sorry. BTW, I rolled mine over on a couple of old tires so it wouldn't smash in the shovel holder.

dirtbikem1987,

Did you treat the corroded area before welding in your repair? Looks like you need some sheetmetal work on the floor pans as well. Nice job! :D

Yes, I removed all of the rusted metal from the cross member before I installed the repair kit, and the floor is open from the top to prime the inside before I install the new front floors. There is a lot of rust beneath the gas tank, and some beneath the battery tray. The back of the Mutt was also very rusted when I got it at and below the top of the bumperettes, I removed all of the rusted material, and reinforced the rear crossmember before closing it up and rebuilding the back of the mutt I have all of the structural problems taken care of, and figure I can work on the rust in the floor a weekend here and there as I am enjoying driving my MUTT. Thanks
