I tried to put a fan clutch on
Why, ? To keep the waterpump bearings from going into hyperlink. Fan clutches save wear and tear on bearings and give you more HP....Problem was...No clearence or room for one.....Oh well, I tried.

Re: I tried to put a fan clutch on
Is there enough room for an electric fan Heck, does anybody even make a 24 volt electric fan that would fit

I really don't think you would gain all that much. It is not a very big fan although it does move a lot of air.

Did someone say photos
This is the old motor from the 4X4 Vega, there are 3 places you can put one, # 1, you would have to remove the data plate for this one but, it will give the most accurate reading, (IMO) here you can use the bulb and fixed tube type, or the elect type, it will be between #2 and #3 cyl.
#2, If you are not using a heater you can put an elect type in the plug just behind the thermostat.
#3,You can also put one where the original one is, you should use an elect one here as this hole will not take a long bulb type.

Thanks, the best location for the "bulb type" really helped. Cheers
