i used to love reading Granvilles stories every month.... he was a great guy and a fountain of common sense knowledge regarding jeeping...

Am I right that the book is about MVs and CJs but doesn't cover anything about the M151?

Not specifically but it does cover the M38 series.

It is basically a book about four wheeling in the desert southwest and how to keep them running. Not really MV specific. It covers M38 because thousands of them were surplussed out and ended up as the original off roaders.

I've seen those in person. They had an issue of getting debris like rocks and sticks in the holes. But you never have to worry about a flat.

But hellz ya I would buy some 7 x 16's.

That book has been written by a man I had the pleasure of spending a couple of weeks with at his home in Mexico. He was my idol as far as four wheeling. His name was Granville King.
Look for a book called the Jeep Bible by Granville King.

Rick
You can take the pictures to Office Depot, Staples, or Kinkos and they can scan all those pictures and put them on a CD or thumb drive for you. I did that for my mom and grandmom with all their old pictures an uploaded them to my Flickr sight. I love old pictures. I'd love to see some of your old black and whites...and yes i'm familiar with paper pictures. :D I actually have an old Polaroid instant camera that i still use from time to time.

You talking about this book: http://www.amazon.com/The-Jeep-Bible-Wr ... jeep+bible

I hope so cause i just ordered it.
I can’t believe the price of this book on Amazon. This must be the book of books! I like reading these old post you learn so much that is not really talked about anymore.

I thought they made tubes for radial tires, so perhaps another option? Run radial tubes in radial tires on 151 rims?

They make radial tubes to run in radial tires but why do you want to run a tube? These rims seal a tubeless tire quite well.

I'm afraid Rick can't have his photos scanned. They're all daguerreotypes. He used to keep one in his wallet. When he was shot down behind enemy lines in France in his Neuport 11, he used one as a signal mirror to be picked up by Snoopy and Woodstock.
