suspension rebuild

Unread post by 1811jhead » August 24th, 2014, 10:29 pm

New to 151s , ended up with two Mutts an A1 and an A2. The A2 will be rebuilt, although more I get into it the more I see that needs to be done. I could probably put it all together and drive it now but I believe it should be done right. My question is, would it be easier to replace the suspension bushings ball joints shocks etc. in place. Or after they are removed from body since they are comming off anyway.

Completely agree. The front ends come off of these guys fairly easily and if you are coming completely apart, it's a lot easier to deal with it all off the truck.

Thanks for the replies. I was kinda thinking that. This is my first complete rebuild and the more I see the more I realize there is a lot to it.
