excess cord on tie down

Did a search and found nothing on the excess cord on the tie down. Seen the excess wrapped around the windshield hinges. Do you guys cut it off or wrap it.

If you are talking about the antenna tie down I put a series of half hitches in the cord at about 6" intervals. Looks good and binds up the cord.

Rick Tried it that way and ended up going about every 1- 1/2" with a half hitch. Before, I had them side by side and looked like a big dog knot. Looks better the way you recommended. Jerry
