Hey Matt,
Yes, same basic freq range and mode on the PRC-6. The PRC-6 is crystal controlled, but in the same range as the RT524, PRC25, PRC77 and the PRC 67, and 68 I think. All their modes of operation was FM with one preset and 44 possible channels on the PRC-6. But you only have one channel at a time, to change channels you swap crystals on the inside of the cover. Not as easy as spinning the dial and hearing that MX6707 base matching frequencies for you. I need to send you pictures of the PRR-9 and the PRT-4's. Crystal controlled, 2 freq's possible on the transmitter and has high pwr and low pwr transmit. PRC-6 with battery weighs 9 lbs. PRR-9 and PRT-4 combined weigh about 2 lbs.
