AM2060A Power supply information wanted

Unread post by ohiomgman » July 15th, 2010, 6:36 pm

I have ordered the AM2060A power supply. I would like to know where to look for the rest of the parts to complete the instillation. Power cable from vehicle to power supply, co-ax cable to antenna. ground straps, etc. Installing radios is not my strong military subject as I just used them, back in the day. Are there manuals available that would provide the sought after information? I will also be needing the RT524 sponson plate..(I saw piles of them somewhere on the net?? for sale, NIB.) Any information would be helpful.

Hey OMGM,
What exactly did you get with the AM-2060? There is a CX-4655 cable that's a tough one to locate if you didn't get it with the 2060. That cable alone is available for as much as $175, and connects power from the 2060 to the PRC-25/77 Power connection to the 2060 is from the MT1029. Tony Banks would is the G838 member with the radio equipment most often. He has most of the cables I'm sure. Good prices too.

Hey OMGM,
That's good, cause they are getting parted out and not always with the 2060's these days. Are you going to be at the Mid-Ohio next week? I'll be bringing some radio and antenna gear to trade or sell. Even having a few things I have purchased in the past year delivered to me at the show. I know I'm getting an MX-6707, a complete PRC-77 delivered there and Tony Banks will be attending so if there is anything specific you need, let him know to bring it with him. Hey Tony, please bring me that antenna base and I might need to replace an H-250 handset. Also will be looking for a couple 116 antenna sections, and an AB-15 mount for my A2. Every year gets bigger and better at the Mid-Ohio and check the event section about the Friday night 3rd annual PJ's Pizza Convoy into Sunbury.

Yes, I will be at Mid-Ohio on Saturday. I will be looking for a number of radio parts. I plan on installing commo in my M38 as well as my M151A1.
