Anyone have photos of how they routed the ant. wires down the corner mount?

Re: Routing cables
Thanks Moose. BTW... a handy trick (for those that don't know it) for cleaning up old radio cables is to spray the cables with Easy Off Oven Cleaner (Yellow) can. Spray it on there and let it sit and then wipe it off with an old rag. You'll be amazed at how it makes them like new. Word of caution though... it may remove the white/black numbers on the side of the cables too but not if you don't leave it on there too long. You can always keep applying more so no need to go crazy. Just do it in a well ventilated area Another trick learned to me by a friend in the hobby.

Sadly I sold that Jeep several years ago so and have kicked myself ever since. Classic case of not knowing what you have until it's goneCrusader_22 wrote:Geez, my truck is a turd. Thanks for making me feel bad.

Re: Routing cables
I love the red painted top on your gas can.....I'm gonna steal that idea and your mutt is beautifully restored. Do you get nervous when people get near it at functions?I spent a long time restoring my mutts and am always amazed at shows how many times people think it belongs to the army still and can do whatever they want. I wish people had a little more respect for other peoples property. The next time I hear "Oh dat did't hurt dat none" I'm gonna scream..............I guess I worry too much, anyway, great looking resto job!

Re: Routing cables
I routed my antenna cables similarly - but with two holddowns, and since I did a curbside installation, I had more cable left, so I did one loop that sits under the 1029 mount neatly.
On the other note - Yeah, no kidding. Last year, I took the MUTT to a National Guard family day event at a public park, so some people were there who weren't "ours".
I was talking with a friend a little ways away, and my oldest daughter came up to me (who was watching it for me), and said, "Dad, you better go to your jeep..." She had a grimace on her face.
I get there to find 3 small children in it, climbing over all the seats, stepping on all the stuff I had displayed in it, whipping the steering wheel back and forth - and cranking on every lever they could find - really hard - one was wearing my really nice M1 helmet.
And the kicker - two parents standing in front of it taking pictures and smiling. I mean, they sent them in there like it was a piece of playground equipment.
I (mostly) politely shooed them away and tried to figure out what the parents were thinking. The both looked at me like I was nuts. I was absolutely amazed.
Moral of the story - watch your stuff! And my stuff isn't even that nice!
