Questions regarding Grounding the MX-6707?

Unread post by armybuck041 » March 11th, 2011, 11:28 am

Quick one.

I'm just putting both of my MX-6707s into their Mounting Brackets.

Do they require a Grounding Strap to the Mounting Bracket? There is a screw in the bottom of one of the 6707s which looked like it might have been for a Grounding Strap.

that is a good pic of how it should look when done. Also make sure you use the rubber gasket between the 6707 and the sugar scoop. its there as a vibration damper to prevent the plastic antenna base from eventually cracking...
