Re: little adapter on AB-15 to antenna coaxel
I needed the adapter UG-273 for my application. Which was for RT-66,67,68 series radios, I'm not sure if it is the same adapter for newer radio sets to the AB-15 mast base or not. If you called or emailed them with what radios you are dealing with I'm sure they could tell you what you need.
Re: little adapter on AB-15 to antenna coaxel
The AB-15 has an SO-239 socket on the bottom of it which mates with the PL-259 connector so what you need is a PL-259 to BNC adapter. I'm pretty sure Radio Shack still carries these but keep in mind to make it complete you need the grounding strap and the thumbscrew hose clamp which secures it to make it a complete installation. The old RT-66/68 radios use the same BNC connector as the VRC-12 series so the adapter is the same.

Re: little adapter on AB-15 to antenna coaxel
Thank you all for your quick responce. I picked up a PL 259 at radio shack this afternoon for $4.99. I am so use to having to purchase stuff off line that I could not imagine walking into a store and finding what I need. Thanks to all of you for your help.

Ohiomgman.
Blind leading the blind here, but as you may have seen in my last post I was directed to radio shack for the PL-259. It will have the same end shown that screws on to your AB-15 and a male end that will mate to the coax. I walked in and the guy said "Oh... you need a pl-254 here ya go."
