Just about finished with radio install..

Unread post by ohiomgman » May 7th, 2011, 3:32 pm

05-07-2011...only a couple of stray cables to tuck away and a mic hook to find and install and it will be done.

Next is to install the same setup in my US M38 Jeep.

Looks like it,s coming out very nice. You can take the rope bracket that holds doun the main antena and if you have an extra one you can mount it on the top of the rear antena mount and it works nice to bend back your,e side mounted antena for when your,e driving around it will keep it lower.Try and post a pic later .

Looks great !! Just some crazy questions:

1. Where did you find the cool cable retainers and hardware ?
2. Do you have a ground line attached to the antenna mount ?
3. Where did you get your power line and how do you have it run into the battery box ?
4. I guess even more important - do you have instructions on how to mount this stuff ???

Just got my general class certification and I'm ready to pollute the airwaves !! Just need some more info on how to mount all the equipment in the mutt !!

Any info or more pics of your mounting job would be greatly appreciated !!

Have a good one !!
