AN/VRC-7

Unread post by swordmd » August 30th, 2011, 12:29 pm

I am putting a AN/GRC-7 in my 64 M151. I have the early right rear corner mount for the M151, but I am looking for pics of the sponson mount used for the MT-300. I was told that the one for the AN/VRC MT-299 was the same. Or ones for sale. The AN/GRC-7 is the RT-70&AM-65. Most people just use VRC-12 radios I want to be different.

There's a picture of the MT-300 mount here:-

It's on the Army radio site....maybe they can point you in the right direction. You should also try to locate the appropriate TM, which I'm told is TM11-284

I typed the wrong thing this should have been AN/VRC-7 not AN/GRC . I have the RT-70,AM-65, and the MT-300 I am looking for the plate or bracket that mounts on the sponson that the MT-300 bolts too. It is part of the installation kit. On the M38 and M38A1 it is made of Oak, I think on the M151 it was made of steel. Thank You
