Vic 1 intercom for the PBR

Unread post by D Pizzoferrato » April 1st, 2013, 8:58 pm

After 3 years of thinking about it and doing other things, I'm getting close to installing a 6 station Vic 1 intercom system in the boat along with an AN/VRC-47 setup.
450 HP worth of diesels is very loud!
I've been accumulating components, but now it's crunch time cable wise. I'm not ready to go the high dollar ebay route yet.

Specifically, I need a proper power cable from batts to the MX7777 Supressor. I have the cable from the MX7777 to the MT 1029 mount on radio A and the cable from radio A to radio B. Also have all of the cables from radios to antennas. Am 1780 and all control boxes in hand as well as headsets.

The MX 7777 power cable can be a CX 10613 or any cable with the appropriate end (or just the end plug. same shape and size as the CX 4720. 4 female with MALE center screw).

Also need an assortment (10 total) of CX 4723 cables ranging from 2' to 30'. Fair Radio has some 2 footers, but the others seem to have dried up.

Have you tried Bernie Matniak or Tony Banks?

PM sent with their numbers. I know Bernie had tons of odd cables, he is a pain to get hold of though.

Try Glen Closson. He charges $20 per cable (CX4723) but I'm sure he
will give you a discount especially if you are buying 10.
