Mount for the MT-1029?

Where would fellow go to look for the tray that the MT-1029 mounts to for a M151A2? I am also looking for all of the cables that would be needed for making this operational and a RT-524. I have the corner mount and bracket and the MT-1029 already.

corey, since i don't know where you're located, this info may not be of much help. in late april there is a week long military vehicle swap meet at the tower park KOA near lodi, calif. it is likely that you could find what you need at this meet. the piece that holds the MT1029 is the sponson plate, and all of the info is available here under the "what you need for a mutt radio install" post.

And on the East coast you have Aberdeen coming up in the beginning of May in Maryland.

Putting in a radio gets pricy quick! The sponson plates and ant. mount are fairly cheep but the RT524 will bite your wallet! I'd love to run a 524 setup but I think I'll stick with my PRC77 in a manpack hanging on the back of the seat to talk to my other truck in the woods till I sell enough blood to buy a RT524.

The sponson plates show up on peebay alot too. Make sure you get the right sponson plate, think there are 2 versions out there. Ref. the "what you need for a mutt radio install" post to verrify.

There are quite a few different sponson plates due to the large number of vehicles that the 524 was mounted in. You want SC-DL-48676 for the MT-1029 mount.

Yeah, and even if you get the right one the holes can be drill out wrong. Ask me how I know.

I have all three cables NOS for 30.00 and used sponson plates for 35.00.

Thanks for the the good words Rick.After having to sale my 151 I shyed away from the site.Opens up old sores to look at and read about others enjoying there jeeps you know.Im probably going to come to Aberdeen as a spectator not a vendor.

For anyone looking I have reconditioned RT524s with mount, all three cables, mike, and headset for 900 plus shipping.I also have dummy display only reconditioned units in CARC or 24087 green with the mount,cables,mike and headset for 400 plus shipping.
