No I'm not doing anything to the radio that came with the A1. The PRC10 was a tubed radio from the 50's just for FYI....Make sure you get the big battery box to go with it...this way you can power it.
And though there is a battery box coming with the PRC 10, powering it up is not an issue, when the one i'm buying is already dead, and will be gutted to put a cd/radio into it.
