I only shoot 40 grain copper plated round nose bullets. I shoot a lot. I buy by the case. I look for deals on wikiarms. They don't sell ammo or firearms, but keep track of who has what in stock, what price, and whether there are limits. Prices and availability change daily, and sometimes several times daily.

On the right, they have a search box. You can type in a particular ammo you want such as CCI 40 grain Mini Mag, or just a general description like 40 grain round nose, or 36 grain copper plated hollow point.

Here is a search for CCI AR Tactical, which is my favorite round. I found it the other day much cheaper than is available today. If you have a certain load you like, keep an eye out for it by checking several days in a row, and you will likely find a good deal. But the good deals go fast, so you have to pull the trigger when you see it.

Good info, I just blew through 100 rounds each of 45 ACP and 38 SPL. while in Virginia.
