Already have an upper I built and a nickel boron bolt carrier group from Fail Zero to run in it. Nickel boron bolts are very slippery and wear resistant. While they will discolor, fouling essentially wipes off with a cloth.

There are 2 kinds of transferable M16s. Colt and everything else. Colt was almost the only game in town pre 1986 for full auto M16 rifles. And I got a deal on it, kind of deal you would get on a good used one. Don't plan on firing the upper or bolt carrier.
