Had to be Cal. They should have cited all those drivers for using their cell phones while driving. I'm glad I live in Montana :D

the jeep with the .50 cal in the US was in LA Cali. The calls went in cause he parked along a busy highway and was running around yelling and waving a big flag etc. luckily none of the passing motorists shot him. The police checked him out and let him go, but it was his own fault they were called in the first place.

the other in the phillipines is just a paranoid govt screwing with the opposition. if anything, they strengthened the oppositions position by behaving in such an arbitrary and petty manner...

Years ago I had the mutt out with the M60 in the anti-aircraft position pointing straight up. my father and I went down to the local cider mill for some cider and donuts, i parked it right in front of the place, no one said a word to me, usually i'm swarmed by kids and onlookers but this time no one approached me. We left and went home, I parked it at the end of my driveway, three hours goes by and the door bell rings and its a cop. He starts to tell me that I was down at the cider mill pointing my gun at people and doing "burn outs" with my jeep, I laughed in his face. He then tells me that there was an off duty cop there working security who saw the whole thing, I cried bullshit as I didn't do anything other then go there get some cider and leave and that if i was pointing that gun at anyone the off duty cop would have shot me. I knew the whole time he was full of sh*t but I didn't budge an inch with him, he said have a good day and left. Burn outs, lmao. funny when I had my ZO6 out burning rubber like no other because it was time to get new tires never once did the cops come out, but when I do burn outs with the mutt, well you know all that horsepower we have under our hoods...it's just dangerous!!

Hi Rainman, We had one of our jeeps with a 50cal in a University homecoming parade under our Vet. Corp. grad group, and we fired off some blanks. We discovered the police were quite nervous because just the past weekend they had shootings in the downtown area, and this was too real. Since we were Veterans with our toys, they let us pass. Wait until they see our M151A1C with the 106 mm recoilless rifle next year. Seabee

I am from Southern California. I now live in SW Missouri. I would never, ever, ever, drive my jeep with any of my working, or non working weapons mounted, except for parades and those would be dummy guns. and would never fire blanks through it at any public event. You are the only one that know that you have a non functioning weapon. My God! today how everyone is worried about being harmed. That would be some of the dumbest things a vehicle enthusiast could do. And also to hurt the hobby. I love guns and my vehicles but common sense here. People need to think before they do.

Chill Matt, we do have common sense....but also a good amount of humor. I was kidding about the 106, but we are careful with any display of guns for parade, shows, etc. , and respect the police dept. as much as they do us as Veterans. We do display blank firing with proper notice. Seabee

Its not you guys. Its the stupidity out there with the guy that thinks he can drive around with an item mounted on his vehicle. I cought your humor. When i was stationed at Ft.Campbell. We lived off post and our street was a race track of young guys driving fast. So i parked my 41 gpw out front with my .30's mounted on it. It really slowed the traffic down with the looky loo's. Local law enforcment knew me and no one called in but we were also on a back street and all my neighbors knew that i did living history.

I was in a 4th of july parade down here in sleepy s florida, there were about 8 m151"s and a couple m38's and a gpw all full of vets

during the drive was nice lots of patriotic folks clapping then about 1/2 way thru the route I hear this really loud , kinda slow repetative BLAM!!! about 2 151's behind me - then the flintloacks from the minute men walking along. Then they got it timed right it's like all of a sudden it was like Rock nRoll not to mention skinny little 2 lane 15mph road with glass storefronts on both sides

now I must confess I have never been in combat never been in anything close to it. but for a split second there. that's as close as I'll get ( xcept maybe the public range on a sunday in november) looking at those kids in the crowd and some adults I had chills runnig down, being part of it

turns out there where 3 oxy acc set ups behind me Man that was great
