He is a VERY lucky man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also a very smart and quick thinking man. How many people would have just gone into shock and bled out? He not only stopped the bleeding but thought to document the whole thing. No better educational material than that.

Wow! What a story. As I began to read I was thinking good thing he didn’t have hollow points chambered. Then I saw the round lying on the table with all the fragments, oops! Oh well! Awesome fellow for his self disclosure.

incredible story and a very lucky guy- i wonder why he didn't mention the burning sensation.
I was lucky once when a AK-47 round came thru the windshield, hit my rocket sight and shattered it, sending shrapnel all around the aircraft and hitting me, my copilot, and the gunner behind me. When the stuff hit me in the head all i felt was the burning..... then i killed the vc who fired the round and several of his buddies, too, by letting loose 10 rockets on his position. Even with out the sight anything close would have gotten them.
I would have thought the 45 exit hole would have been much larger than that shown. He was very very lucky.
