A new Weapon System.
My 151 is a 1960 so what would be better than a center mount 50 cal or M60 ?
The center mount was poor at returning fire to the flanks along with a advance to the "REAR".
So how about a! "XM1919 Weapon System"
Twin 30 Cal.s on a turret.
The ring is German, used on their trucks with the MG42.
More build photos to come.

I (really) like your shop . I have seen a photo of an (X)M151 sporting an M1919A4 on an M4 pedistal mount. What I would be concerned about with your set up is all of that weight up high might have an adverse effect on the handling of your mutt. Looks good, BTW
Regards,
Matt

Re: A new Weapon System.
Some more work on the 151 part of the system.
What do you think about a install manual, like what would have been shipped with in for a field install?
And filled some holes. What is up with "Mutts" and all the hols? LOL
After some paint I will start the install.

Re: A new Weapon System.
The holes are from other radio mounts and the rear antana mount looks to have been drilled two times, must have missed the first time? The top hoop was rolled on a HF tubing roller with acustom 1 3/4" set of rollers from SWAG offroad.
Worked well but it is work!

Re: A new Weapon System.
A mount like that would be cool installed on an M1009. It reminds me of the WMIK used on Land Rover Defender 90s. I'd be curious to hear how your mount w/twin boom sticks affects the handling of your M151 (which also looks good, BTW)

Re: A new Weapon System.
Matt, trying to go to a show on Sat. I will let you know what she drives like then. Will need to do some testing with the guns loaded up,200 per side and 1000 in storage on the driver side rear fender. Have not made the bracket for the 5 can's. Also will use old trick if it is needed, "SAND" bags on the floor, front and rear. You never know about "MINES" on the ROAD ??? LOL
