Hey guys,
Funny as it sounds Santa brought me an M4 machine gun mount on Monday. I think it was Santa, though he did look a little like OhioMGman. Now the search continues for a cheaper than reasonable M142 cradle.

Re: Santa Clause in March?
just make sure you get the long pintle M-142 and not the short one. if the ammo box holder has a spring loaded flipper thats the short one, which was for the hmmv ring mount. those are usually about $100 less than the one for the m4 pedestalRainman wrote:Hey guys,

Hey Moose,
Yep, I've got my sights on a long one for sure. I've been seeing the short ones for $100 cheaper, and they sell an adapter for $105 to make them work.
I'm a patient man when my finances are well, you know. I need to find one on craigslist from someone that has no idea what they bring on today's market. That $100 demil on ebay would sure be lookin good right about now. Hope with a few sets of eyes out there watching for one at the shows this summer, somethin will turn up. This is what the M142 M60 Cradle Assembly, with Ammo Tray and Pintle, Long Pintle looks like.
