mine is from hardscrabble farms (Joe Schaefer) he makes them out of demilled m-60 parts and a few custom molded parts to ensure they qualify as non guns by batf. You have to get really close and look very hard to tell its a dummy gun. most of the parts are real. I don't know if its the best, but i'm very satisfied with it.

I too have a Joe Schaffer demil M60 with the BATF+E letter. He does some of the best I've seen, but I was less than excited that he spray paints the whole thing flat black before he ships them out. I stripped my down and only left paint on the aluminum cast parts. Slowly but surely replacing the cast parts with original parts to make it look even better.

I'd like to replace the pistol grip/trigger group on mine with a real one but it seems they're made of unobtainium around here unless i want a second mortgage....

Gun mount

Unread post by Asesso » May 3rd, 2012, 9:47 am

I just purchased a long pintle m-60 gun mount for my a2. It came with a pedestal mount which supposedly came from an early M151. This does not look like my original M4 and I can't seem to figure out what pedestal it is. The base is "stepped" conforming to the ridge in the MUTT's floor and it is taller than the M4. Since I already have a pedestal I want to sell this one but I am not sure what I have. Can anyone help ID this pedestal. I have images on photobucket but can't seem to get them to post here
