Canvas Cover for M60?

Unread post by richard » June 20th, 2012, 6:16 pm

Hi,

I found this cover here in Germany. Does somebody know which weapon it will cover? Will it fit over a M60 mounted on the M4 pedestal mount? Length about 41 to 42 inches.

Hey Richard,
Looks to me like it might fit a 60 on an M4 to me. Depending on your level of curiosity, you could always send it to me and I'll let you know for sure. I'd love to have an M-60 cover, but no real reason to ever use or need one. Sure looks well made though.

'Have to check the manual again but I think the standard M60 GPMG (classic Vietnam version) was 43" long. Think Frenchman may be right about that cover's Country of origin. The dark shade of green & the weave of the canvas looks French (or maybe Italian) to me as well.
