Hey troops, shopping for a REAL demilled M60.....No resin or guns that are a wreck of weld marks and spray paint......if it looks like its gotten use in the field even better.........looking for one and what the cost is.....understand they are going around $2000 give or take couple hundred..........finally ready to pull the trigger on one (maybe) after couple years of weighing the cost......Bob

No not yet....got a line on a very nicely done one but have to make sure it meets ATF standards. They are not being helpful.

Do what I did and buy an Airsoft. Mine'll pass the five foot test, and aside from the E3 trigger group it's a dead ringer for your run-of-the-mill VN-era M60. It's cheaper and there's no worry of hassle from the BATF.

Evike Airsoft offers a very convincing replica at a very inexpensive price. 8)

Not the best photo, since it's a cropped and blown-up portion of another photo, but here's my Evike M60.

Hey Bill in VA,
I am looking to go the airlift route and was wondering if your Evike required any modification to work on the USGI 60 cradle. Any issues there??? The pic looks great! That's the look I want!

Bill,

I'm also planning on mounting an Airsoft M-60 on the M142 cradle. I don't have the cradle yet, so don't know how it fits to the Airsoft M60. The Airsoft M60 has the front mounting pins attached and a hole in the bottom of the handguard. Are these the only mounting points required?
Also, what type of ammo can holder is required for the M142 cradle?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks, Cal

The ammo can holder is integrated in the cradle.
Hope this helps --- http://david.brubakers.us/mutt/mutta.html

I am not sure but the mount is a joke, an upside down caster wheel? On sandwiched plates? Come on now! And you do NOT twist your ammo belt if you want it to be dependable under fire. Nor do you hang it over the back of the can to catch on the edge. As far as the weapon really need some better pics of the slide, trigger and receiver.

hahhahahahaha..... hahahahahaha ... you make me laugh so hard, Rick.

it is so convenient that the jeep came with that base, welded nicely with holes ready made!
Anh I was like, hell with it, I am going mount my gun there! I am not sure that welded base is there for, radio maybe, but it is very very sturdy and strong. It holds the gun quite well, gun turns fully 360* , up and down.

I don't want to pay $400, at least, for an M4 mount and pintle. It looks nice but takes up too much space...

"Necessity is the mother of invention" right? I am sure somewhere in the world they do this!

It is a full metal, 19lb airsoft, looks so freaking real until you open up the receive or search for some wires.

One hell of a head turner to drive around with, but it looks quite lunatic though, so I don't drive it around with it too much anymore even though I don't break any law.

Ok then, But take it from a guy who humped one of them, keep the ammo straight and in the box unless you are not using the box. It looks fancy but to anyone who has ever handled a machine gun they will know right away that you don't handle ammo like that.
