Medal of Honor

Unread post by David » April 10th, 2010, 2:06 pm

A town here in Texas every year holds an annual Medal of Honor gathering. They have a few dinners, lectures, and then a parade to finish off the weekend. This year 11 MOH recipients were present for the gathering.

I got the honor to drive Mr. Clarence Sasser in the parade in my M151. He's a very friendly, knowledgeable, and personable man. You can read his citation here: http://www.cmohs.org/recipient-detail/3 ... eugene.php

Anyways, here are a few pics from the parade (Im the young one :D ) I got with my camera as I was to busy talking with Mr. Sasser to get anymore.

Also, I was privileged enough to attend a dinner and get each one of the 11 recipients in attendance to add their signatures to my MOH book.

When I get more pictures I'll post up the UH1 and AH1 escort our convoy received for the 30 mile venture to the parade. That was impressive also.

Gainesville, TX.

It's north of Dallas by about 60+/- miles.
