M151A2 #3 - 4 color Tropical W/TOW

Well here are some pictures of the UGLY BEAST just got it home. It was originally a TOW jeep but had everything removed and converted back to a straight A2 (by or for the Mexican Army). This jeep and 5 or 6 others were brought back to the US in 2003 or so. Rumor was all these jeeps came from Europe originaly not from the continental US. This one has rust but the other 3 that are left were even worse. I know some of you guys back east understand rust and all but that stuff scares me . I at least have it up on 4 wheels now. The motor i got with it was in a radio jeep as it had the 100 alternator and other misc. So should be a nice low hour motor. This one will NOT be the 3 month full on restoration the last one had. This will be a year long project if I don't put it asside and do the Chenowth FAV. Actually thats what I SHOULD do next as there is not a lot to do on it. But I have been buying parts for the TOW. This one will be in my favorite color 4 color tropical.... OOOOhhh Aaaaawwhhh

The big one or the M416A1. The big one has hauled just about everything under the sun. A friend of mine and I always thought we should make up a flat plate and put the silloets of the vehicles we have hauled (kind of like kill markings on a fighter plane). I wish the axles were a little farther forward but I have 30 total feet of space to load green junk on when its not being used for work. I will need some guidance from you guys on dealing with the rust thing. looks like it is only the battery box floor and surrounding... NO frame rail rot at all. I guess on that note. the guy in Florida making panels I see seems to have some quality control issues. What about the panels from Europe???
